Torsten Posselt (b. 1979 Dresden, Germany) is a graphic designer, visual artist and art director. He studied at the University of Applied Sciences (HTW Dresden) before getting a diploma in visual communication and printmaking at the University of Arts (UdK Berlin).

In 2011 he co-founded the Berlin-based multidisciplinary design studio FELD and worked predominantly as managing partner and design director until 2019. He led the design and production of numerous projects for notable brands like Reebok and Volkswagen, research facilities like the Fraunhofer Institute (Munich), and cultural institutions like the Barbican Centre (London). Studio Torsten Posselt was founded in 2020 to put Posselt’s craft on a more prominent stage and allow him to focus creatively.

His award-winning artworks have provided the visual counterpart to the music of renowned artists like Nils Frahm and Ólafur Arnalds, now iconic to the catalogues of respected records labels like Erased Tapes and Mercury KX. He has developed a personal and unique design language which transcends traditional graphic design with the power of ever-changing modern media technologies.

Posselt has given talks about his practice and holds workshops and panels about design processes and packaging. You can see his works featured in the books MIN – The New Simplicity in Graphic Design and Collector’s Edition – Innovative Packaging and Graphics by Stuart Tolley as well as Album Art – New Music Graphics by John Foster, published by Thames and Hudson.
